'Cause when she sings I hear a symphony
And I'm swallowed in sound as it echoes through me
I'm renewed, oh I feel like
Through autumn's advancing, we'll stay young, go dancing

As the music plays
Feel our bodies sway
When we move as one
We stay young, go dancing

Life is sweet
In the belly of the beast

Bunch of morons. I can't think of any more words.

Good news! The House of Ketteridge 2nd edition is doing much better! Well, Eloise and Graham have been doing very well for the past several days and the Eloise is no longer painting my walls with peas. But soon after they started getting better, I caught it. I just love how that works.

I'm still recovering, not there yet, but I thought you all should know because they've both missed their aunts and uncles very much.

Well, this is a sodding mess. I guess I slept right through the whole debacle. Just my luck that Graham's also contracted the same illness as Eloise. It's not seasonal allergies after all. The complete exhaustion of having to take care of two very sick (and very problematic when sick) children must have overtaken me.

And it seemed like they most definitely would keep Oscar there the entire day today as well.

If the Mudblood is right, then they're going to need lots of support. I wish I could go see Narcissa but the way that the children are, I can't take them there nor can I ask if she'd like to bring Draco here for distractions. But, honestly, if they had just kept up a pretense, would they be in such a situation? It leaves a bad taste in the mouth, yes, but in the long run, I'd much rather smile at a Mudblood and ask how their day is than ever be suspected.

I should still do something for them.

I suppose it'll probably be just on me to take Eloise and Graham to the Healer too.

I am at a loss. The children are ill and all three of us were overcome with exhaustion very early last night that I didn't find out until this morning. If there's anything you need, please let me know.

I can't imagine work would be any easy right now, especially with the amount of tips I'm assuming you're all getting.

I heard you've had a horrible run-in with that dreadful cheesecake from Fontana's. Allow me to fix that with a recipe of my own. I'll be sending scones as well if you rather not.

My daughter just sneezed into her lunch. And we now don't have lunch anymore because her sneeze sent the peas splattered all over my kitchen walls.

And for two minutes, I stood frozen not knowing how to react. Her very first sign of magic, ladies and gentleman, is either her immense dislike for peas or that she wants our kitchen repainted.

I'm torn between calling them hypocrites or... by any other word that may fit better. Similarly, I'm torn between who to laugh at: the Muggleborns getting up in arms or Purebloods apologizing for the majority of Purists. Or the Purists who seem to be getting their knickers in a knot tight enough to comment.

Really, is it any surprise that they would just paint all Purists in one colour? Of course not! Easily angered, quicker to judge, quicker to call names. That's what the lot of them are. Do I dare get openly offended and tell them that just because I want to raise my children in a magical environment and I support separation between Muggles and Wizards does not mean I advocate violence? Do I dare even defend myself in any way at all? Definitely not. The Ministry is full of people who probably think similarly. There's no way I'm going to open my mouth or pick up a quill and put my family in the spotlight. And I do adore Narcissa but where her estranged sister or her husband is concerned, she just can't seem to keep herself from speaking.

At least if Purist families are being investigated for what they say, I know there's no way Oscar and I will ever be in that group. Salazar help the Blacks.

Have I ever told you that you're fantastic? I'm so lucky I get you as a sister-in-law!

I am severely disappointed that I didn't get to take a photograph of Lady Flitzybottom leaving the house with that shiny crown of his this morning. (And possibly some glitter falling onto his nose.) If his coworkers can do that for me, however, I'll bake them scones.

Flowers, is it? I wonder if they're for the Sorry The Dark Army Attacked On Your Birthday occasion or Sorry I've Been

This is ridiculous.

I think I'm going absolutely nutters. I've had a general lack of students here this week after the Dark Lord's announcement, and with not a lot to do, I think I may have been cranky for some reasons that are probably not as big of a deal as I'm making it.

Just a bunch of rotten luck that it had to happen the night before my birthday, didn't it? Whatever Oscar was planning, I would have really appreciated if work had not gotten in the way.

At least it meant an entire day for me, free of music lessons, to just settle in and read to the children. Merlin, that poor little boy. I wouldn't dare question the Dark Lord's decisions but the Dark Army would never set limitations upon their own behavior, those filthy monsters.

One of my students came by wearing Emotipolish on her fingers. She's always enjoyed playing with my kids, especially Eloise and so today, when she waved her fingers at her, my daughter quickly moved to grab one of her fingers and inspect the nails with much concentration. I think I'm trying not to count down the days until she's sneaking into Mum's bedroom to try on her makeup. Oh, but it'll likely happen. Especially if she takes after me completely.

Cats. Really? I see no point behind it. I would assume that there are bigger and more important things... not to say that I don't feel anything for them. I do feel bad for Amelia. Even if I don't enjoy whatever gathering the Boneses throw.

Bloody Salazar, this family. It's bad enough we're related to one blood traitor family and now we're now attached to the Dawlishes. Freaks, the whole lot of them. After one too many family gatherings with the Ketteridges, I think I can use the company of more normal witches and wizards these days.

Hello, loves. I feel like it's been absolutely forever since I've seen family other than my in-laws. It's so hard for me to get in touch with my brother since he's always busy and barely even looks in his journal but, Will, I hope you would be able to visit your favourite cousin if she asks for a family dinner gathering.

I hope you are not against the idea of having the Goyles over for dinner anytime? It just feels like it's been too long.

Oh, journals. I asked for more entertainment and you provided. How you provided! Unfortunately, I could have done without seeing more proof on how my brother-in-law is a fucking idiot.

I'm foreseeing business going down for a bit because of this mess on the journals. Perhaps I'll use that time to learn to bake scones for myself. And speaking of...

Thank you, darling, for a very pleasant lunch. Best tea and scones I've ever tasted. With in-laws like mine, there are never enough times to get away from the journals to just relax.

I don't know how much further your other siblings will be able to get through to him, but sometimes I do wish Victor would just have his journal confiscated.

That there was the most heavenly pumpkin and caramel glaze scone I've ever tasted. I think I've pretty much decided that in order to feel better about indulging myself with one too many of them, I am going to learn how to make them myself.
